Responsibilities:

  • Provide interpretation and guidance on related SHE legislation.
  • Liaise with the platform medic/occupational health specialist to ensure that the control of substances hazardous to health and risk assessment process is being effectively manager.
  • Provide safety, health (in conjunction with the platform medic) and environmental support and guidance to all groups on the installation.
  • Liaise and report on safety health and environmental issues on a regular basis with the SSHEQ Manager.
  • Manage the incident investigation and reporting process offshore, and to ensure the quality of both the investigation and the report.
  • Prepare incident statistics and graphical representations for the SSHEQ Monthly report.
  • Maintain and review occupational safety procedures used offshore, and to work with the medic on occupational health issue.
  • Ensure the the platform safety representative and committee structure is functioning in accordance with procedures.
  • Act as the senior offshore radiological protection supervisor.
  • Provide induction training in conjunction with the Medic.
  • Provide support to the OIM and Emergency Team during emergencies and to facilitate training exercises related to identify accident scenarios.
  • Review vendor safety procedures and safety management system interface documentation.
  • Conduct independent safety audits and inspections on the installation and prepare and manage actions lists arising.
  • Provide advice and guidance on general health, safety and environmental topics and to demonstrate safety leadership.
  • Help fevelop safety training programs and strategies.
  • Conduct platform environmental reviews and Support both the SI 971 and environmental (voluntary role) reps.
  • Assist in managing the Dangerous Good, Waste & Chemical Management processes.
  • Understand and support Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Assist the environmental adviser with ensuring the regulatory requirements for the installation are met.
  • Maintain incident and audit records in IMPACT ERM.
  • Participate in task risk assessments.
  • Carry out regular audits of the ISSOW and facilitate audits by a cross section of the workforce. Plot trends arising.
  • Act as a STOP mentor and perform trend analysis of STOP cards.
  • Monitor compliance with the Temporary Equipment Procedure.
  • Champion environmental awareness for the platform.
  • Support activities pursuant to achieving ISO14001 environmental management standard.
  • Monitor standard of Toolbox Talks and in support of continuous improvement.
  • Experienced in working as an SHE Adviser in offshore production operations; experience in developing and delivering training and awareness programmes, competent at leading risk assessments, undertaking audits, working with PTW systems, dealing with regulatory issues from both safety and environmental perspectives.
  • Prior experience in laybarge project is necessary.

    Requirements:

  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent.
  • At least 10 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
  • Preferably Senior Executives specializing in Engineering - Environmental/Health/Safety or equivalent. Job role in Environmental, Health & Safety Engineer Environmental, Health & Safety Engineer or equivalent.
  • Contract positions available.
